Builder-Developer-Entrepreneur-Advocate
Creating opportunity through housing, workforce development, healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, and community partnerships.
Most people know one side of construction.
Some know design.
Some know accounting.
Some know project management.
Some know client relations.
My career was built by learning all of it.
My career has never followed a traditional path.
Long before I was managing construction projects, I worked in banking and consumer lending, helping individuals and families navigate financial decisions. I later worked in insurance and financial services, learning how risk management, long-term planning, and financial stability shape people's lives.
From there, I spent time in healthcare administration managing denied TennCare and Medicaid claims, followed by direct patient care as a Telemetry Technician in a hospital setting. I also worked within municipal operations at the City of Tampa Water Department, gaining firsthand exposure to the financial and operational systems that support critical public infrastructure.
While those experiences may seem unrelated on the surface, they all taught me the same lesson:
Every system impacts people.
Housing.
Healthcare.
Education.
Employment.
Finance.
Community.
None of them operate in isolation.
That perspective ultimately led me into construction and development, where I found the work I was truly passionate about.
I began my construction career helping lead the operations of a residential construction group building more than 30 custom and speculative homes at any given time.
What made that experience unique was the breadth of responsibility I was entrusted with.
I managed construction accounting, including budgets, payroll, project expenses, construction loan draws, interest tracking, invoices, financial reporting, and CPA coordination. If a financial record existed within the company, I was responsible for ensuring it was accurate, organized, and available when needed.
At the same time, I served as the primary point of contact for custom home clients throughout the entire building process. From the initial consultation and contract signing to design selections, progress meetings, walkthroughs, and final closing, I guided homeowners through one of the most important investments of their lives.
I also oversaw speculative home design and production, conducted daily site visits, coordinated subcontractors, maintained construction schedules, and managed quality control across every active project.
In addition, I operated the company's cabinetry and flooring division, handling design, estimating, purchasing, receiving, installation management, and supplier relationships while supporting both company projects and outside contractors.
Looking back, I wasn't simply learning how to build homes.
I was learning how to manage systems.
How budgets affect schedules.
How schedules affect clients.
How design affects profitability.
How leadership affects culture.
How accountability affects outcomes.
That experience provided a unique understanding of construction, development, finance, operations, procurement, design, and client relations that few professionals gain from a single role.
Today, that foundation serves as the driving force behind my work as Founder of Zachary Heath Homes and the vision behind FYNN Communities.
My passion has never been simply building structures.
My passion is building systems that improve people's lives.
Whether I'm developing housing, managing construction projects, creating workforce development opportunities, or bringing organizations together around a shared mission, the goal remains the same:
To create something that continues serving people long after the ribbon is cut and the construction is complete.
Because at the end of the day, buildings matter.
But it's the people inside them who matter most.

What I Believe
I believe housing is more than a roof.
I believe healthcare should be accessible.
I believe workforce development should lead to real careers.
I believe entrepreneurship can change lives.
I believe communities are strongest when organizations work together instead of competing for resources.
I believe great design should be available at every budget.
I believe people deserve second chances.
And I believe extraordinary things happen when the right people, resources, and opportunities come together around a shared purpose.
For most of my career, I've been fortunate to work alongside talented people from many different industries. What I've learned is that lasting change rarely comes from one organization, one program, or one person working alone.
It comes from partnership.
It comes from creating systems where each person can focus on what they do best while contributing to something larger than themselves.
That's what inspires me most about the work I do.
Whether it's a construction project, a business venture, a workforce initiative, a healthcare partnership, or a future community development, my role has always been the same: bring together great people, build the right systems, and create opportunities for success.
In addition to my work in development and business, I am passionate about sharing stories that create understanding, encourage resilience, and inspire people to move forward through adversity. Through speaking engagements, media projects, community partnerships, and public advocacy, I hope to help others realize they are capable of building a future beyond their circumstances.
At the end of the day, my work isn't about cabinets, construction projects, software, housing developments, or nonprofit partnerships.
It's about people.
It's about creating opportunities.
It's about building systems that help individuals, families, businesses, and communities thrive.
Every project begins with someone believing a better future is possible.
I am fortunate to spend my life helping bring those possibilities to life.
